Hi friends,

Whilst in Madrid, I began planning one very special night during my time home and now, Saturday is within an earshot.

I've only two more months left in Philly and this will be the last full on rizumu until after I'm gone. All thats left to do is break out the dancing spurs, saddle up, and pony on over to lava. I could not be prouder than to present to you this ultra-spectacular shindig: the North American debut of Steffi.

You can trust Steffi as a dj implicitly, in form and content. Her skills are phenomenal, as you will understand watching her work the records and eq’s. Pure, unadulterated mixing. Featuring a plethora of styles, Steffi makes each dj set unique, always building a foundation of original, funky and fat, deep House.

A Panorama Bar resident, Steffi has remained slightly behind the scenes until recently. Getting her start in Amsterdam, she produced interesting events on the fringe, counter-balancing the heavy commercialization which permeates the dance music scene there. Alongside Dexter, 10 years ago, she founded the Dutch label Klakson, and together they have been releasing a slow and steady stream of high quality singles.

In 2007, Steffi moved to Berlin and began her quarterly residency at Panorama Bar, which quickly turned monthly. Known mostly for her DJing, she is finally finding studio time. Her productions include a track made specifically for Tama Sumo's 2009 mix CD and an early 2010 12" on Ostgut Ton. Additionally she just launched a new label named Dolly which has already begun stamping out limited 12"s from her closest friends in music.

Tantrum Tonic and myself are preparing some out of the ordinary music to accompany Steffi's set. Rumor is there will occur an impromptu dance performance with a person from another land. Please keep in mind, after 12:30 the price is elevated to $15 so we may ensure the continuance of such quality events.

Saturday's temperature is forecasted as ideal, but still we are going to be plastering Lava in fans. There will be free water and redbull on hand to keep everyone hydrated and awake. For good ole' times sake our long time friend Eric will running the door, and as always the one and only niksound.

This truly promises to be a night for the memory box, be prepared to bliss out to the rhythm, beat the drum, and dance into the future.
